![]() None of the above, because thankfully, we can straighten out users’ many questions about Snapseed as well as give you a route to accessing it on your Windows PC or Mac. Where do we turn, then? Alternatives? Expensive software? Only editing on mobile? Google Photos does currently offer editing options, but they pale in comparison to what many users became used to with Snapseed. However, when Snapseed disappeared from desktops and web browsers (even after Google formerly featured it alongside their cloud-based Photos app), quite a few users were left in the lurch. Desktop development was halted, and it returned to its roots on mobile devices, where it has continued to innovate and remains one of the best companions that you can download alongside a photography app. However, the development direction of Snapseed changed a bit when Google bought it. ![]() It spread across platforms fairly quickly, ending up on iPhones, Android devices, and eventually Windows and Mac desktops. While the filters and adjustments available through camera apps are suitable when you need to make a fast adjustment or slap a filter on something, mobile users wanted something more akin to a fully-featured photo editor, and that’s what they got in Snapseed. It filled the same niche then that it does now–providing a robust set of photo-editing tools that far outstrips those found in our photo apps. Users of Snapseed, however, have found a free resource that gives them the editing tools they need, rather than the overabundance of features that come along with professional design suites. So count your blessings and stop whining about the stuff that you actually can control. When most people think “photo editors,” they think of the bulky, expensive software from the likes of Adobe that cost hundreds of dollars per year to license. ![]() That's probably too much responsibility for it to succeed everywhere (just like Microsoft could not). You think Apple or Microsoft would have done that? Google is a pillar of the modern society. Plus all the services that Google gives away for free, its been a blessing to our entire world. Google search has been the best for the last 10 years, and its only the last one or two that the competitors are even matching it. And stop downloading crap Apps that have less than 100,000 users. Here's an idea: See how they play within the law as proper citizens of each host country. You hate Google because it censors in China (as required by Chinese law - what do you expect?), AND because it allows everyone to make an App (such that you apparently download anything, bringing garbage onto your own phone).
